A new virus called 2019-nCoV was discovered in late December 2019 in the city of Wuhan in eastern China. Those affected experience respiratory symptoms, fever and cough. Several deaths have been confirmed mainly among people with a reduced immune system. The 2019 nCoV is a coronavirus belonging to the Coronaviridae family, as the viruses such as SARS and MERS.
There are many indications that the virus was originally spread from animal to human, but it can also spread from human to human by drop infection and direct-human-contact.
